Tenda TEF1110P-8-102W 8-Port Desktop Switch in BD

The TEF1110P-8-102W features advanced network extension technology. Utilizing standard twisted pair cables, it supports transmission distances of up to 250 meters, surpassing the traditional 100-meter limitation. With 6kV lightning protection, this device serves as a reliable switch for monitoring purposes.

Ports 1 through 8 are compliant with IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af PoE standards, providing a maximum power supply of 30W per port, totaling 99W for the entire device. Additionally, it includes dual gigabit uplink ports to accommodate the connection of multiple devices.

In many monitoring environments, cable lengths can vary significantly. Some cameras may be just a few meters from the monitoring center, while others could be hundreds of meters or even kilometers away. The Tenda TEF12 series PoE monitoring switches, featuring patented network extension technology, use existing twisted pair cables to support up to 250 meters of data transmission, effectively breaking the traditional 100-meter limit. It is also equipped with a gigabit SFP port to facilitate longer-distance transmission, potentially reaching tens of kilometers.

In practical monitoring projects, cameras are often installed outdoors or at elevated positions, increasing the risk of lightning strikes damaging the cameras and PoE switches. Such incidents could result in equipment damage or even disrupt the entire local area network (LAN). The Tenda TEF11 series switches are designed with professional lightning protection, rated at 6kV, which protects against surges from both the network cable and power supply. This effectively adds a layer of security to the entire network monitoring system. The test standards for this protection exceed national CCC requirements, ensuring that the monitoring network remains stable and reliable during thunderstorms, thus maintaining normal image transmission.
