Designed for professional fiber broadband distribution, the Solitine SOL1004-1G-DP 4 Port 1G EPON OLT provides a practical networking solution for ISPs, FTTH deployments and enterprise fiber access networks. With four EPON ports, dedicated Gigabit uplinks and advanced Layer 2 management, it helps network operators connect, configure and monitor multiple subscriber-side ONUs from one central device.

Four EPON Ports for Up to 256 ONUs

The Solitine SOL1004-1G-DP supports IEEE 802.3ah EPON technology with 4 PON ports, each supporting a maximum 1:64 optical splitting ratio. This provides a theoretical capacity of 256 ONUs, subject to optical budget, bandwidth planning and device compatibility.

Its PX20+++ optical interface supports SC/UPC connectivity, with a specified transmission distance of up to 20km over suitable single-mode fiber. Each EPON port operates at a 1.25Gbps symmetrical physical line rate, shared by connected subscribers.

This makes the OLT suitable for fiber internet distribution, IP camera networks, enterprise LAN applications and compatible triple-play services.

Gigabit Uplinks and Professional Network Management

Unlike the Solitine SOL1004-DP 10G variant, the SOL1004-1G-DP 1G EPON OLT provides 2 Gigabit RJ45 uplink ports and 2 Gigabit SFP uplink slots.

For network configuration, it supports Web GUI, CLI, SNMP, Telnet and SSH v2 management. Operators can manage connected ONUs, monitor port status and configure subscriber services according to network requirements.

Important networking capabilities include 4096 VLANs, QinQ, VLAN translation, Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA), QoS, DHCP Snooping, ACL, IGMP Snooping, RSTP/MSTP and port aggregation.

Security and subscriber isolation features help administrators maintain a more controlled EPON environment.

Rackmount Design for ISP Installations

The Solitine SOL1004-1G-DP comes in a 1U, 19-inch rackmount chassis, making it suitable for organized ISP network racks and equipment rooms.

Its dual redundant AC power design supports continuity when properly connected to suitable independent power sources. The manufacturer specifies 100–240V AC input and approximately 30W power consumption.

Before installation, confirm compatible EPON ONUs, optical modules, fiber connectors, splitting ratios and uplink bandwidth requirements. GPON-only ONUs should not be assumed compatible with this EPON OLT.
