The TEF1118P-16-150W is a versatile network switch that features 16 10/100 Mbps Base-TX RJ45 ports, one 10/100/1000 Mbps Base-T RJ45 port, and one 1000 Mbps Base-X SFP port. Ports 1-16 comply with the IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, with each port supporting a maximum Power over Ethernet (PoE) output of 30 W. The switch has a total PoE power output of 135 W, allowing it to supply power while exchanging data with devices such as access points (APs), IP cameras, and IP phones through CAT5 cables.
In practical applications, APs and cameras are often installed outdoors or in elevated positions, increasing the risk of lightning strikes that can damage the equipment and potentially disrupt the entire local area network (LAN). The Tenda TEF11 series switches have a specialized lightning protection design, including a 6KV port and power supply thunder protection. In Extend mode, the data rate for ports 1-8 is limited to 10 Mbps, while the maximum transmission distance can be increased to 250 meters. All ports can communicate with each other in this mode.
