One Compact Device for Wireless and Wired Connections
The Ubiquiti airCube ISP supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n wireless networking on the 2.4GHz frequency band, delivering an advertised maximum wireless link rate of 300Mbps.
Its 2×2 MIMO design and integrated 4dBi antenna system provide wireless connectivity for compatible everyday devices.
Alongside WiFi, the ACB-ISP includes four 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet interfaces. These allow the device to integrate with an existing wired network and connect compatible Ethernet equipment according to the configured network setup.
For a small home or ISP customer connection, this combination provides basic wireless and wired connectivity without requiring a large networking installation.
However, this is an N300 single-band WiFi 4 device. It does not support 5GHz, WiFi 5, WiFi 6 or Gigabit Ethernet. Its maximum wireless rate should not be confused with actual internet throughput.
Designed to Work with airMAX Customer Equipment
One of the most useful applications of the Ubiquiti ACB-ISP Access Point is its compatibility with supported airMAX customer-premises devices.
In a typical wireless ISP installation, an outdoor airMAX CPE receives the internet connection from the provider's network. The airCube ISP can then provide local wireless access for the customer's devices.
This makes the ACB-ISP relevant for WISPs and network installers building standardized home internet connections using Ubiquiti equipment.
Instead of treating the device as a general-purpose enterprise access point, its value comes from straightforward integration with the provider's customer network.
The airCube ISP is not itself an outdoor long-distance radio. It requires appropriate upstream network equipment to receive an internet connection.
24V PoE Passthrough Can Simplify Cabling
Powering several devices at a customer's installation location can create unnecessary cable clutter.
The airCube ISP PoE Passthrough feature allows the unit to provide controllable 24V Passive PoE output through its designated WAN interface for suitable connected equipment.
The device can receive power through 24V Passive PoE input on LAN port 1 or through a compatible 5V Micro-USB power supply.
When using PoE passthrough to power compatible airMAX CPE equipment, the installation requires a suitably rated 24V Passive PoE input, commonly 24V/1A according to Ubiquiti's installation guidance.
The ACB-ISP itself consumes a maximum of 5W, but power requirements for connected equipment must also be considered.
Important: A power adapter is not included in Trende's listed package. Before installation, verify the power source, voltage, PoE pinout and compatibility of the connected CPE. Do not assume that every standard PoE injector or switch will work with this Passive PoE arrangement.
UISP Management for Easier Customer Support

It is suitable when basic 2.4GHz WiFi, Fast Ethernet connections, compact placement and ISP-oriented remote management are more important than the latest wireless speed.
Its dimensions of approximately 87.8 × 89.5 × 89.25mm allow it to sit conveniently on a desk, shelf or small networking surface.
If your internet connection or local network requires speeds above 100Mbps through the Ethernet ports, the airCube ISP may become a bottleneck. For higher-speed wired networking and dual-band WiFi, a suitable Gigabit or newer wireless model would be preferable.
