IP-COM W36AP AC1200 Dual-Band Gigabit In-Wall Access Point.

Reliable WiFi for every room. A neat finish for every wall.

Hotel rooms, office cabins and modern apartments need wireless coverage without bulky routers occupying desks or shelves. The IP-COM W36AP AC1200 Dual-Band Gigabit In-Wall Access Point is designed for exactly these installations, combining WiFi 5 performance, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and standard PoE power in a compact wall-mounted unit.

Available at ৳4,000 in Bangladesh from Trende, the IP COM W36AP provides a practical way to build a cleaner, more manageable indoor WiFi network.

Built for Rooms, Not Just Open Spaces

Unlike a conventional AC1200 wireless dual-band router, the W36AP is a dedicated in-wall wireless access point that works with an existing network infrastructure.

Its 86 × 86 × 32 mm design fits suitable wall boxes, helping maintain a neat interior. Decorative multicolor panel decals allow the unit to blend into hotel rooms, villas and other furnished spaces.

Consider the W36AP for:

• Hotels and guesthouses: Provide dedicated wireless coverage across rooms and guest areas.

• Apartments and villas: Improve WiFi access in selected rooms using wired Ethernet backhaul.

• Office cabins: Deliver consistent dual-band connectivity for work devices.

• Commercial interiors: Install multiple access points without leaving networking equipment exposed.

AC1200 WiFi 5 Performance with MU-MIMO

The IP-COM W36AP supports AC1200 dual-band WiFi, combining theoretical wireless rates of up to 300Mbps on 2.4GHz and 867Mbps on 5GHz.

The 2.4GHz band supports wider device compatibility, while 5GHz can provide faster local wireless connections with less interference in suitable environments. IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2 and MU-MIMO technology help improve wireless efficiency when compatible devices share the connection.

Four internal antennas, with 4dBi gain specified for each band, support the device's room-oriented coverage design.

Although commonly searched alongside 1200Mbps routers, the W36AP is not a standalone ISP router. Its wireless ratings describe maximum theoretical link speeds, not guaranteed internet download speeds.

Two Gigabit Ethernet Ports and Convenient PoE Installation

A key advantage of this IP-COM Gigabit Access Point is its wired connectivity.

Manage Multiple Access Points More Easily

The W36AP offers more than basic wireless broadcasting. It supports AP and Client + AP operating modes, web management and centralized management through compatible IP-COM AC1000, AC2000 and AC3000 controllers.

Network administrators can configure useful features such as:

• Multiple SSIDs — up to eight on 2.4GHz and four on 5GHz.

• SSID isolation and AP isolation for separating wireless clients.

• VLAN-to-SSID binding for network segmentation.

• MAC-based access filtering and wireless client access limits.

• 5GHz band priority, adjustable transmit power and scheduled reboot.

These options make the IP-COM W36AP AC1200 especially relevant for managed hotel and business WiFi deployments.

Planning a Complete Wireless Network?

For multiple rooms, a wired access-point installation is often more practical than expecting one router to cover the entire property. The W36AP can be combined with an existing gateway, suitable Ethernet cabling and PoE infrastructure.

You can compare other models in the IP-COM Access Point Collection. For different requirements, the IP-COM Pro-6-LITE AX3000 WiFi 6 Access Point offers a newer wireless standard, while the IP-COM iUAP-AC-M Indoor/Outdoor Access Point is worth considering where outdoor-rated equipment is needed.
